Treatment of Actinic Keratosis

Actinic keratosis is not cancer but is treated because it may develop into cancer. Treatment of actinic keratosis may include the following:
- Topical chemotherapy.
- Topical immunotherapy (imiquimod).
- Other drug therapy (diclofenac or ingenol).
- Chemical peel.
- Simple excision.
- Shave excision.
- Curettage and electrodesiccation.
- Dermabrasion.
- Photodynamic therapy.
- Laser surgery.
